“Folie à deux” an even crazier movie than the first Joker?

Focusing on this female character will undoubtedly allow the director to delve deeper into the Joker’s psychology through his personal feelings, which was the strength of the first film.

Finally, “Folie à deux” is a psychiatric term. In this context, it refers to a clinical situation in which a person, after prolonged contact with a delusional person, ends up adopting the same behavior. Unless, of course, the title refers to Arthur Fleck’s split personality.

The first leaked images from the set of the movie, as well as the first official photos, make Joker: Folie à deux very appealing. Joaquin Phoenix, who stars in Ridley Scott’s Napoleon biopic, and Lady Gaga have both been transformed. In leaked photos, a very thin Joaquin Phoenix appears to be chased through streets and cars by other incarnations of the Joker.

The images have caused a stir among Internet users, who are wondering why the Joker has multiplied himself. The film’s director, Todd Phillips, also released some very dark and intense official footage of the two leads.

One shows Joaquin Phoenix being shaved by another man in what could be an asylum, while the other shows Lady Gaga looking terrified of the Joker after a kiss. It’s a preview of a beautiful duo of misfits caught up in a bloody love story that we can only imagine to be the most toxic. This is confirmed by the sublime trailer unveiled this week. The two actors appear both tortured and madly in love in this video, which gives pride of place to music and dance.
